Harvesty
The Sweet-100 plants are dropping tomatoes like a rainstorm. Note that both of these photos are different harvest's, about 4-5 days apart:
I also dug up the onions, as the tops had died. They turned out pretty small, but are very tasty. Will have to do my research so I can grow em bigger next year. They will do well for salsa though.

The Tale of the Fire Jalepeno, and more!
Out of curiosity, I picked one of my jalapenos the other day. Now...with my banana and bell peppers I just take bites out of them. I figured I would cut a slice of this since it was a Jalapeno. I was not expecting it to be mild like a bell, but neither am I expecting Serrano pepper-hotness. I mean, come on, we pile these on the pancheros all the time. I cut a small piece about the size of a fingernail. I took one bite, and DAMN was it hot. Drank two ice cold sodas in a blink of an eye. Mouth was on fire for ten minutes. Still....I figured...hey, maybe I am a wuss. I proceeded to take a small piece up to the wife.
Being that I am me, I didn't relate my fire-mouth experience. Again, figured maybe I was being wimpy. Victoria placed a piece on her tongue, spit it back out on her hand and started letting me know how hot it was. She never even chewed it. I was proud, for I had created this fire demon of a jalapeno. :) Later, after her mouth had cooled, she informed me that it was not natural for jalapenos to be so hot. I smiled, and informed her it was another of my "organo powers".....and walked away.
I have yet to be brave enough to take another bite. As the tomatoes are starting to come up, I plan to make a small trial of salsa using the fire peppers this week.
Ahk, the salsa is nearing. :)
